Timers for Class ("we," "us," or "our") publishes free classroom timers at timersforclass.com. This policy explains what information the site does — and doesn't — collect when you use it. There is no account system anywhere on this site, and none of the timers require you to enter any personal information to use them.
Information we don’t collect
You don't need to create an account, sign in, or submit any personal information to use any timer on this site. We don't ask for your name, your students' names, your school, or your email address anywhere in the app itself.
Local storage
The site saves a small amount of information directly in your browser — not on our servers — so your setup persists between visits. This includes your light/dark theme preference and, for some timers, your last-used shape, color, or music choice. A timer's duration is also stored in the page's URL so it can be bookmarked or shared. None of this ever leaves your browser or is transmitted to us.
Cookies and tracking
This site does not use tracking cookies, third-party advertising, or analytics scripts that profile individual visitors. If that ever changes, this policy will be updated first.
Hosting and server logs
Like any website, our hosting provider may automatically log basic technical information for security and performance purposes — for example, IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. This is standard infrastructure logging, not something we actively collect, review, or use to identify individual visitors.
Children’s privacy
Timers for Class is built for classrooms, and we know that means students of all ages may see it on a projector or shared computer. The site does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13 — there's no sign-up form, no chat, and no field anywhere for a student (or teacher) to type in personal details. Teachers control everything shown on screen; no student data is ever entered into or transmitted by this site.
